February Fun!

Safer Internet Day

All classes engaged in discussions and activities about being safe online on Safer Internet Day (6th February 2018).

Debating Team

Well done to the debating team who travelled to Scoil Naomh Aenghus, Bridgend to oppose the motion “People should be fined for not recycling”. The boys were excellent but the motion was carried by a very strong team from Bridgend. It was noted that our team were great ambassadors for the school. Comhghairdeas!

Senior Infants and 1st class

Mrs Doherty’s Senior Infants and 1st class visited the local library on Tuesday 13th February. They really enjoyed their tour with Gerard, the librarian and had an introduction to how the library works. Their visit concluded with a fun quiz on facts about the library and free pencils and bookmarks for all pupils (and teachers!).

2nd Class

Mrs McCandless’s 2nd class created some lovely artwork for Mother’s Day. Doesn’t it look amazing!

5th Class and 6th Class

5th class and 6th class have been working on Scratch in class with Mrs Clifton. Scratch is a programme to teach computer programming skills. We hope to set up a coding club which will run one lunchtime a week in the future to allow they boys to further develop these valuable skills!
